A Beautiful Assignment: Walking in God’s Order

I first joined ROOTS in 2021, but I was unable to continue at the time due to a brief illness. What initially drew me to the program were the powerful testimonies shared by others during their recognition ceremony stories of transformation, growth, and a deeper walk with God. Those testimonies stirred something in me, and when another opportunity came in 2022, I knew I had to join ROOTS again. Today, by God’s grace, I am now on the Entrusted level.

Being part of this discipleship journey has been a truly transformative journey for me. As we explored the values drawn from Titus 2:1–8, each lesson shaped my character in meaningful ways but the topic that stood out for me the most was on obedience/submission.

Before this journey, I struggled with the idea of submission. I believed it meant losing control, becoming passive, or allowing myself to be dominated by someone else. It felt like a word that took away rather than gave. But as I went deeper into the teachings, God began to renew my understanding.

I learned that true submission is not weakness, it is strength under control. It is rooted in trust, humility, and a willingness to let God lead. Submission is not about being controlled; it is about choosing to align my heart with God’s order, His wisdom, and His purpose for my life. It is an act of faith, not fear.

Through this program, I discovered that submission is a beautiful assignment God gives to women, not to diminish us, but to elevate us into His design. It brings peace, clarity, and a quiet strength that reflects Christ. Allowing God to have His way in me has brought a freedom I didn’t expect.

I am deeply grateful for the growth, the clarity, and the transformation I have experienced. And I thank God for using this program to reshape my understanding and strengthen my walk with Him.
