From Broken to Empowered: Finding My Worth After Abandonment
When my husband walked out on me and our two beautiful girls, my world shattered. After 11 years, I was suddenly alone—a single mother facing overwhelming financial struggles, endless errands, and a deep, painful question: "Am I even worthy of love?" I was a complete mess, feeling abandoned by my husband and without the support I needed from family. The sight of any drunkard on the street was a triggering reminder of my pain, filling me with anger and judgment.
ROOTS became my lifeline. It was the platform I used to desperately reach out to God and connect with other ladies who understood my struggle. In this safe, non-judgmental community, I found a place to let my pain out without condemnation. Through the discipleship, I began a powerful inner transformation. The anger and triggers started to fade. I learned not to judge those struggling with addiction, but to see them as people who need help, just as I had.
Today, a tremendous burden has been lifted. My family sees the change—my cousin and sister-in-law have remarked, "Wow, look at you! You're doing really well." I am now empowered, equipped, and confidently progressing through the Rooted Level. I am happy.
ROOTS is more than a program; it’s a safe place for all women—teenagers, married, or single—to find healing and strength. It equipped me for this journey, and it can do the same for you.
