Bernedette Werrett's Story

I’m married, and blessed with four beautiful children and one grandchild. I live in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and I serve as a Branch Manager for a company that specialises in freight forwarding and customs clearance.
My journey with ROOTS began when I attended a graduation ceremony. Watching the women being commissioned stirred something deep within me—I knew I wanted to be part of this transformative experience. I invited a dear sister in Christ, Julian Mugova, to join me, and together we walked the journey from Planted to Entrusted, culminating in our commissioning side by side.
What an incredible journey it has been—one of becoming, of growing from ordinary to extraordinary. Each grounding session was rich with wisdom and revelation. From Planted to Entrusted, every lesson was power-packed, and I found myself learning something new each time. ROOTS is truly life-changing. It speaks directly to the realities we face and the expectations placed on us as God-fearing women—wives, mothers, daughters, friends, and congregants.
I currently serve as a cell facilitator, and my mission is to encourage other women to embark on this journey of becoming. It’s a path worth walking, and I’m passionate about helping others discover the beauty and strength within themselves.
One book that deeply impacted me during this time was The Unique Woman by Ed Cole. It wasn’t just a read—it was a guide that I could apply to my life in meaningful ways.
I’ve developed a love for reading books by Christian authors—something I credit to my discipleship journey. I’m committed to personal growth, spiritual development, and becoming the best version of myself in every role I hold—wife, mother, daughter, and friend. I also have a deep love and passion for serving in the children’s ministry, where I find great joy and purpose.
