Angelica Prickisie's Story

From Lost in Roles to Found in Purpose: A Wife and Mother's Transformation
For 23 years, my identity was comfortably wrapped in being a wife and mother. While I cherished my family, I had slowly settled, letting my own sense of self fade. I had unintentionally let myself go, believing that prioritizing my own gifts or appearance was secondary. I carried quiet, unrealistic expectations of my husband and found myself comparing our life to others, feeling a subtle sense of lack, unaware of my own immense value.
ROOTS Discipleship was my awakening. It taught me that my identity is first and foremost anchored in Christ—and that makes me more precious than rubies (Proverbs 31:10). This truth freed me.
I realized God didn’t just call me to be a wife and mother; He gave me—the individual—unique gifts and talents to advance His Kingdom. I learned I am capable of pursuing multiple streams of income and stepping into the role of a Kingdom Financier. This purpose wasn't in competition with my family; it complemented it, making me more whole.
That freedom changed everything. I no longer look to my spouse or others to fulfill a purpose that God already placed in me. Through "Operation Zvide," I was also convicted to honor God by caring for the vessel He gave me. I now proactively watch what I eat, enjoy dressing well, and understand the vital importance of taking time to be refreshed and re-energized.
Today, I walk with a new confidence, not because I have it all together, but because I know I am a called, capable, and cherished individual on a mission, right where God has planted me.m.
