The R.O.O.T.S Woman: Faith, Love, Excellence, and Service

CHARACTER - A WOMAN OF FAITH
She “fears the Lord” (Proverbs 31:30), “observes carefully all His commandments” (Deuteronomy 28:1), “trusts in God” (1 Peter 3:5a), is “not afraid of any terror” (1 Peter 3:6b), and has been trained to fully understand and apply the teachings outlined in Titus 2:3-8. She is consistent in her character and is bold.
RELATIONSHIPS - LANGUAGE OF LOVE
The R.O.O.T.S woman’s relationships are vibrant and reflect a Language of Love. She understands God’s commandment of love and what love truly is, why and how love is “the more excellent way” (1 Corinthians 12:31b). She knows WHO to love as defined by God’s Word (Matthew 22:34-40), WHEN to love, HOW to love (Matthew 6:11-12) and the strategies of loving (1 Corinthians 13). She understands the challenges of loving (Matthew 11:2-6; 15; 19:8; 1 Corinthians 13:11) and how to overcome them. She is “the mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20), producing life in all situations that she encounters.
ORGANISATION - A WOMAN OF EXCELLENCE
The R.O.O.T.S woman is a Woman of Excellence in how she organises herself. "She looks well after the ways of her household and eats not the bread of idleness” (Proverbs 31:27)” and because she is very organised, “she is not afraid of snow for her household...” (Proverbs 31:21). She is a woman of quality and excellence (Proverbs 31:18, 22) and “whatever her hand finds to do, she does it with all her might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10a). She knows how to do things “for glory and for beauty” (Exodus 28:2b, 40b) and is an expert in what she does (1 Chronicles 12:32-33).
TEAM PLAYER - LIVES A LIFESTYLE OF CELLS
The R.O.O.T.S woman is a Team Player, lives a Lifestyle of Cells and is an active member of her local R.O.O.T.Scell group. The majority of the life activities and well-being of the R.O.O.T.S community happens through its cells. This is where the ladies touch and are relational with one another, find out what is going on in each person’s life and are accountable to one another, checking if we are becoming the woman who God wants us to become. Cells are our lifestyle and they come in as part of the values of Celebration Ministries International.
SERVICE - A MANDATE OF ACTION AND AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Her service in the house of God reflects a Mandate of Action and an Attitude of Gratitude. The R.O.O.T.S woman is active in her service in all areas of need in the house of God. She “provides for the work of God from her substance” (Luke 8:3b). The R.O.O.T.S woman knows whose she is, who her source is and from whom her reward is, therefore, she praises God in all she does and she also “is praised.” She leads others with grace, so “she opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness” (Proverbs 31:26). She affirms others and expresses appreciation to God and to others.
- The R.O.O.T.S woman understands Biblical obedience and submission and knows how to “keep battle formation”, “keep rank” and to serve with “a loyal heart” (1 Chronicles 12: 33-38).
- She knows when she is in authority, under authority and out of authority.
- She belongs to a team through which she will contribute her talents, gifts and skills to serve with a willing heart in God’s house and in the lives of others.
- She is a witness of the love of Jesus Christ in her community through her local R.O.O.T.Scell group.
- She is a woman of substance, a woman of positive influence in her family, household and society (Proverbs 31:20).
- Through her acts of goodness and kindness as she stretches out her hands to the poor and needy in her local area, she brings many to salvation in Jesus Christ.
- She has developed capacity and wisdom to be a “teacher of good things” to other women and younger ladies.
